After the last few days of being transfixed and horrified at the images from Japan I was happy to find myself beginning the chemical free re forestation project next to Night-Cap National Park. As it was the beginning of the working year (cooler) my legs and knees took a little while to adjust to the steepness of the working slope. My co-worker encountered her first leeches along with a series of other nipping insects. But overall it was an excellent first day with 3 hours of slashing and releasing the edge trees from the long reaches of lantana.
Back to the Rain Forest.
