Walked out of the valley this morning at day-break. Beautiful time of the day, saw a platypus skimming the water near a drain pipe. Too quick to get a photo. Sun rising and the forest was high-lighted in orange and pink. Red-backed fairy wrens lined up on branches while bush turkeys darted into undergrowth sending the wrens into hiding. My foot-steps are rare along the gravel road early in the morning.
