Deterred by a shower of rain during my morning lantana slash, I came across this well adorned bower. Amongst the plastic, clothes pegs, drinking straws and bottle tops, none of which I recognize from my cabin, are seeds from the hairy walnut tree alongside flowers from the introduced tobacco. More catfish have been found dead near heavily sprayed and injected areas. No information either locally on how the 2 platypus died near poisoned coral trees on the edge of Wilsons Creek. Time to start lobbying for chemical free land and river care projects.

Australian bees will produce half the honey they did a few years ago. Realisation is dawning on bee keepers that, out-side of drought, pesticides and herbicides are the main killer of bees.
