This guy reckons he’s not too tech savvy but he thought he’d try stopping strangers in the street and tell them what he did this morning, what he had for breakfast, what he planned to do this afternoon, and show them pictures of his mum and family and dog. Well he says he’s already got 4 followers. Two police officers, a social worker and a psychiatrist.

The last week has been a big week for EDO NSW and environmental law.
We held the government and Adani to account on Carmichael – a major mining proposal near the Great Barrier Reef.
As environmental lawyers, representing our clients Mackay Conservation Group, we were able to overturn the legal approval for what would have been the biggest coal mine in the Southern Hemisphere, responsible for significant greenhouse gas emissions.
The decision of the Court to set aside the Carmichael mine’s federal approval was based on a failure by the Federal Minister for the Environment to have regard to conservation advices for two listed vulnerable species, the Yakka Skink and Ornamental Snake. The case also alleged that the Minister failed to consider global greenhouse emissions from the burning of the coal and Adani’s environmental history, however these matters are left unresolved before the Court.
