Damp, humid and leeches.

20 mls of rain overnight cooled us down and enlivened the insect life. Spangled drongos feasted in the air as the termites swarmed and leeches climbed all over my body while I reconnected the gravity water line and cleared lantana runners. 17 leechesI removed  and I saw two fall off my socks fully blooded.

But amongst it all I came across this bower. I only recognized a blue toothbrush I used as a chain saw brush and 2 clothes pegs. The rest is from anywhere.

Beautiful beautiful blue. Do you know why they collect only blue objects? I wonder what these birds were collecting before there was plastic around. Finally someone managed to use plastic creatively!
