Sunday.

Early start, making garden progress before it gets too humid. Ginger and turmeric growing so well I can already harvest around the edges. Yacon, yams and sweet potato healthy. Asian greens galore. Yummy.

The Orchard Swallowtail black and white butterfly was back at 9 pm. Scouting the garden again but spending more time at one mandarin tree, a healthy 5 year old producing its first fruit last year. After I returned to the verandah for a cuppa it followed me there, touched down on the table and flew around me twice. 10 minutes later I was picking tomatoes for tonight’s dinner when I saw the female arrive with the male close behind her. Then 15 minutes of the most exquisite dance between them, me wishing all the time I was David Attenborough’s camera.
