Thank-you to the helicopter Pilots.

After three days of helicopters flying overhead, collecting water beyond Night Cap walking track, it is hoped they have quelled the fire on Black Butt Plateau. With temps continuing in the high 30s it could be the beginning of a long and difficult summer. I am prepared, with the wheel barrow and the hens cage to carry them to safety. I have a cleared large pipe near water where we can safely hold out in.

Our heartfelt thanks to the helicopter pilots for their continual back and forwards through out the week-end. There were moments I would have loved to have been up there too piloting the craft. Oh to be thirty years younger.
