What a relief, a night of bright lightening and short periods of heavy rain. To wake up to a refreshed garden, trees glistening and wallabies grazing. And the helicopters have ceased flying directly overhead.
Excellent feeling.
I had a walk in the cool of the emerging rain-forest yesterday and saw masses of black and white butterflies, swarming around the canopy of young rain forest trees. I tried to photograph them but none came out.
This tree came up with me on a train as a seedling. A blue Quandong or blue fig, it was a parting gift from Yana Berzins at Sydney Central Rail-way station.
