Happy 2017 new year and welcome to our last year of primary work of Bitou Bush on the Crown Land site in Brunswick Heads. Last year we complete all primary work North of the Horse trail, thinking it was the end, however we were told that crown land extend another 30 metres south of the horse track, so that is were we are up to this year. The Bitou Bush on this area is dense at the front, however old and wick at the back.
Byron Shire Chemical Free Landcare first fortnightly working bee will be on Saturday the 14th of January, from 8am to 12pm, at Brunswick Heads Crown Land Reserve site. Meet at the end of South Beach Road fire track gate. We will do a site inspection for rubbish and glory lily and them move into primary work north of the horse track. if you lost call me.
Please wear boots, long sleeve shirt and long pants, a hat, gloves and bring water, rain coat and some morning tea. Tools and first aid kit will be provided.
