For all the years I have been back here at Huonbrook I have wondered why there are so few bats coming in to the fig trees. In the 70s, when I first lived here, there were great numbers which would decimate any mango or fruit that was available.
This last month I have seen and heard greater numbers returning and feasting on the abundant flowering Blue Quandong at night and by day, the lorikeets come in great numbers to get whats left. Its the beginning of their mating season too.
With the rain, the bats and the beautiful music Shea, on guitar and vocals, with Robbie on cello.
