Autumn crawling in.

Cooler weather means the beginning of our lantana slash, pull and layer working season.

The last two days we have spent viewing and pulling the odd lantana in regeneration areas began 15 years ago.

Wonderful biodiversity and the area where we will begin our inventory in naming what has grown following our herbicide free approach.

Found one area where vines have dominated and pulled down a tree. The vines growth has been rapid and its leaves can soon cover a canopy. Around the area in the below photo, the vines could be 50 metres plus long.

Vines on a co2 speed possibly. In a rapidly developing hot house with climate change.

So one work day next week we will go a snipping and begin to curtail them climbing on any larger emerging tree ( ie red cedars, beeches ).
