The antechinus lives here, in the cavity beneath the corrugated iron roof.  just the last week there is much activity at night as they chase each other round the ceiling, very annoying when they wake me up at three. But to watch them, as the mothers carry their young on their back as they scurry across the underside up a beam. I marvel at them so hope a balance remains here for them to survive. Owls feed on them as does the python who lives under the verandah during winter.

  1. Oh that is so sad. We used to have plenty here but none for the last two years. I am very fond of them so I was worried about what had happened. Good at least to know was not anything we have done locally. Do you have many in your area? love Mary Fox (Avinashi Saraswati) maryfox108@gmail.com phone 0421 701 949
