A week of contrast just past.

The week began with howling wind. Expected the power and phone lines to crash but they didn’t. Fallen branches and leaves meant major drain clearing.

Then me, carrying a bucket of 4 tree seedlings to plant on the edge of a water course, I slipped and landed on my brush hook handle, reactivating a previous rib crack. Uncomfortable but after a couple of days I was relieved when the black bruise appeared.

And on the garden hen house front. After the cull of abandoned rooster at Brunswick Heads, people have been dumping their roosters in the valley. 2 have turned up here with one moving in quite easily with my 8 hens.

Crowing will annoy me at 3 am.

  1. I’m glad to hear you are up and about again. An injury can really upset our lives. I’ve started T’ai Chi because of its one legged balance poses. I hope that will keep me strong. love Mary Fox (Avinashi Saraswati) maryfox108@gmail.com phone 0421 701 949
