Thursday morning at 5 am. Cloudy and a feel of humidity.
Hot days just past, 2 days of little smoke haze only to return in force yesterday with a spot fire re starting opposite my cabin. So after the 2 day respite, back onto high alert.
Wild life now arriving to the little growth around the gardens. 1 joey, wallaby young, turned up blind on my verandah but I could not catch it.
This morning I found this. A carpet snake swallowing the blind joey. The wallaby Mum was thumping her tail on the ground nearby.
Natures way – but so sad We seem to have a more birds than usual in our green places. Mary Fox (Avinashi Saraswati) maryfox108@gmail.com phone 0421 701 949
