Aftermath here as fires still rage near Canberra and Bega.

We tramped the valley up towards Night Cap National Park yesterday. The gravity water line, which provides outside showers and water for the hens, was no more that a black plastic stain on the rocks it crossed over.

The visible track of the fires from the Night Cap where visible, with the flames reaching a regeneration area we cleared and mulched of lantana 10 years ago. It was well into indigenous recovery but most of the regrowth was consumed.
